Vaughn Hazen is the Chief Information Security Officer at the Canadian National Railway Company (CN), where he leads cybersecurity strategy and operations for one of North America's largest freight rail networks. With over two decades of experience, he brings deep expertise in securing critical infrastructure and operational technology environments.

Before joining CN, Vaughn served as CISO at Freeport-McMoRan, where he built and led global cyber risk programs across enterprise and industrial control systems. He also held senior security and network leadership roles at Solvay, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard and Army National Guard.

Vaughn is a strong advocate for pragmatic cybersecurity leadership, IT/OT integration, and business-aligned risk management. He currently serves on the advisory board of The Cybersphere Group and is a frequent speaker on infrastructure security.
